Rabbito Social Story
It is our founders' journey, from sub-contracting to experimenting with social media marketing and eventually winning lucrative contracts as a brand.
In the past, our founder Mazhar Choudhry has done years of consulting helping many Government of Canada departments as a subcontractor. In sub-contracting, a contractor invoices to the main contractor AKA ‘pimps’ within the Govt. circles who keeps their cut, retain your funds for a while for their own cash flow and then pay the invoice.
He tried registering Objex, his consulting company with Government of Canada contracting systems without any success. The Government recruitment system is broken that selects a handful of agencies to work without a clear transparency of the process. These agencies do nothing but force sub-contractors to fill-in the grid with false information to win contracts. The agency that makes the tallest claims wins. Discouraged by the broken Government system, he decided to switch to the private sector. It was the best move of his life. The move, brought another set of challenges. In absence of a middleman he had to market himself. So he decided to roll up my sleeves and learn everything that a startup needs to survive in the competitive private sector life.
As a bootstrapped startup, he could not compete with the marketing budgets of companies like Deloitte and Accenture. So Mazhar decided to make use of the social media that is free. After months of using LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram and receiving a few views, no leads, he almost decided to give up. Then, after reading tons of articles and books; realized the content is really the King and it has to be presented to a wider audience as a story and Objex has to be a brand to get attention for the target audience. He began writing about topics he had extensive experience in, such as cloud computing, microservices, and APIs, and it started generating leads. It was the COVID time where most of the companies were struggling and Objex got busy.
Using empathy as his superpower, he decided to build a SaaS solution to simplify social media marketing for all startups. This allows founders to focus on what they love most: building their products and growing their businesses.Rabbito Social is now successfully in production.
